Physical-Chemical and Molecular Analysis of Feed
To ensure the safety, quality, and correct labeling of animal feed, we perform a comprehensive range of physical-chemical and molecular analyses of feed materials and compound feeds. These tests enable verification of compliance with legislative requirements and provide an accurate assessment of the nutritional and safety quality of feed.
In accordance with Regulation (EC) No. 767/2009 on the placing on the market and use of feed, and with the FEDIAF guidelines for pet food, permitted tolerances of declared values are defined. These can only be reliably verified through appropriate laboratory analyses.
Scope of analyses
- Basic nutritional composition (Weende analysis): proteins, fats, crude fiber, ash, moisture
- Amino acid composition for detailed nutritional evaluation
- Mycotoxins (e.g., aflatoxins, deoxynivalenol, zearalenone, fumonisins)
- Pesticide residues in feed materials
- Selected molecular and instrumental tests adapted to the type of feed and client requirements
The J.S. Hamilton Poland laboratory performs analyses using accredited methods, including gravimetry and titration, potentiometry and refractometry, spectrophotometry, pressure and oscillation measurements, as well as modern instrumental and molecular techniques.
